MediaKind has announced that its self-serve cloud video streaming platform, MK.IO, has exceeded 500 active customers worldwide within just two years of launch.

The achievement underlines the growing adoption of video streaming solutions beyond traditional media sectorst. Accessible through both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, MK.IO allows organisations to quickly and securely launch and scale live or on-demand video services through intuitive APIs or a streamlined web-based interface.

Since its debut in 2023, MK.IO has seen widespread adoption across a variety of sectors. Notable customers include public entities such as the UK Courts, educational institutions like the Royal Schools of Music and PESI, retail broadcasters including Japan’s GSTV, wellness platforms such as Yoga Download, and emergency response agencies like CalFire.

The platform is also experiencing increased uptake within the media and entertainment industry. Clients such as Rakuten and the Table Tennis Federation have adopted MK.IO to deliver high-quality video content at scale, facilitated by the platform’s unified self-serve experience.
