Broadband TV News: OUTtv launches on Joyn in Germany

Story from Broadband TV News:

LGBTQI+ television channel OUTtv has launched on ProSiebenSat.1’s streaming service Joyn, offering German viewers a 24/7 live channel and a curated on-demand selection of queer-themed content.

From today, OUTtv becomes part of Joyn’s line-up, which reaches over 10.4 million monthly users in Germany. The partnership enhances LGBTQI+ representation on one of the country’s leading streaming platforms and expands OUTtv’s presence in the German-speaking market.

“We’re proud to launch OUTtv on Joyn, a platform loved by a broad and diverse audience,” said Marc Putman, Founder and CEO of OUTtv. “This partnership allows us to share entertaining and authentic stories that originate from the LGBTQI+ community. With both our linear channel and on-demand offering, we’re excited to bring Joyn users a vibrant mix of queer films, series and originals that inspire and connect.”

A spokesperson for Joyn welcomed the launch, stating: “We’re proud to cooperate with OUTtv and add the successful queer channel to our live TV and on-demand offering. OUTtv is committed to making the LGBTQ+ community visible, telling their stories and celebrating the diversity of lifestyles. Together, Joyn and OUTtv will make queer topics accessible to an even wider audience in the future.”

The move is part of OUTtv’s ongoing expansion across Europe, with the channel already available in multiple countries through both linear and on-demand distribution.
