Deadline: Fox Nation Strikes Deal To Stream Hulk Hogan’s Real American Freestyle Wrestling Matchups

Story from Deadline:

Fox Nation has acquired the rights to stream events of Real American Freestyle, the wrestling league started by Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Chad Bronstein.

Fox Nation will show the inaugural matchup events RAF01 on Aug. 30, taking place at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. The streaming platform also has secured the rights to the second event, to take place in the fall.

Fox Nation said that the events will provide an “exhilarating experience, packed with action and an immersive show atmosphere.”

Bronstein, co-founder and CEO of Real American Freestyle, said in a statement that the Fox Nation partnership “will create a platform the athletes deserve and bring freestyle wrestling to our fans at home.”

The RAF venture includes Kurt Angle, Chael Sonnen and Bubba Jenkins as live event commentators.

The first matches for RAF01 include Bo Nickal vs. Jacob Cardenas, Yianni Diakomihalis vs. Bajrang Punia, Darrion Caldwell vs. Real Woods, Austin Gomez vs. Lance Palmer, Kennedy Blades vs. Alejandra Rivera, and Sarah Hildebrandt vs. Zeltzin Hernandez.

Fox Nation, the Fox News subscription streaming service, earlier this month announced its first live arena sports rights deal, with the Professional Bull Riders.
